Meet
Andrew
PT, MPT, Ardor Aspire Ambassador
Hi there!
My name is Andrew Harry, and I’m a dad, PT, & adventure lover. I graduated from the University of Evansville in 2005, where I thought I would be an Outpatient Ortho PT for the rest of my life. It wasn’t until I tookmy first travel assignment that I realized there was more to being a PT
than just outpatient. As a travel therapist, I fell in love with the Acute Care setting and the excitement of each new placement. I traveled for around 3 years in the Midwest, staying close to my future wife. As a travel PT, I made enough money to pay cash for our wedding while gaining valuable experience.
I used my final travel assignment to help me settle into married life and get a sense of the market in Kansas City. I then decided to try Home Health PT for a bit, then a Rehab Manager at a local hospital. After moving, I worked as a Lead PT in a SNF. When my first child was born, I became a stay-at-home dad and started working PRN. I switched gears in 2020 to be a healthcare recruiter for therapists and RNs while remaining a stay-at-home parent. After an incredible 9 years at home, my kids were in school, and it was time to start a new adventure into Peds Home Health -which is where I am today.

Why Did I Join Ardor Aspire?
I am passionate about mentoring other therapists because I really enjoy the field of Physical Therapy and teaching. Through my almost 20 years of practice, I have tried all the settings available to me. I have learned a lot from each setting including the challenges and obstacles that come with each. I believe that my time as a travel PT changed the direction of my career for the better. Without the challenge of stepping out of my comfort zone, I would not have been receptive to change in settings. I look forward to mentoring and helping Therapists decern their career goals and how to accomplish them.
